Who We Are
Founded in 1964, Bonneville International's heritage traces its early roots to KSL Radio, which first went on the air in May of 1922 (originally as KZN) in Salt Lake City, and to KSL-TV, which had its on-air debut in 1949.
We currently own and operate 30 radio stations in the Chicago, Washington, D.C., Seattle, Phoenix, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Salt Lake City markets, as well as KSL 5 Television (NBC affiliate) and operating divisions Bonneville Communications and Bonneville Satellite in Salt Lake City.
We've worked hard over the years to position ourselves to be counted among the premier broadcasting companies anywhere. New Media
We pride ourselves in the creative ways in which we use New Media, integrating multiple Web applications, interactive technologies and delivery platforms both for our audiences and in answer to our clients' opportunities and needs for new Web programs and sponsorships.
Technology
Technology is embedded in our corporate DNA, and we are among the pioneers in both in HD Radio and HDTV broadcasting and their enthusiastic promotion. All our radio stations now broadcast in that remarkable format, which features CD-quality sound and an extraordinary spectrum of musical genres and information formats. We also were among the first to adopt the HDTV format AND apply it to our local HD television programming.
How We Do It
Our working motto is "Do good, do well, make a difference, and have fun," and we certainly do all of those. We also structure our inventive and successful business model on the three principles of 1) building our people, 2) making a difference in our communities, and 3) meeting aggressive financial goals.
